STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION
In a suggestive landscape in the middle of the Crete and only 27 km from Siena, at the end of a panoramic drive, is situated the farmhouse “Montalceto”. It has been created from the careful restructuring of two big farmhouses which are part of the structure .
A broad scenic area with garden furniture and barbecue, laundrette, wood oven, large and welcoming rooms that guests have in common for lunch or breakfast (max 34 people) are available for guests. Upon request catering service (min. 6 people), cooking classes and local specialities tastings. Playground for children, bowling green, ping pong table, snooker room, mountain bikes, volley and football ground, large swimming pool with Jacuzzi (14x10 m) and a lovely thermal tub. On reservation we organize weddings and special events, transfers from/to the main airports, day tours and guided visits to places of cultural and artistic interest (min. 6 people), car and minivan rental.
The farmhouse “Aia Vecchia di Montalceto” has been recognized from “Agroqualità” as historical farmhouse on account of the following characteristics: “the building dates back to the eighteenth century, endowed with ancient or country furniture. Careful and very meticulous restoration”.
“Aia Vecchia” has not only a privileged position in the heart of Crete Senesi but it is only 30 minutes by car from Siena and Arezzo and 1 hour from Florence and Assisi.7 km away there is Rapolano Terme with its splendid thermal waters swimming pools and a very equipped well-being centre. 4 km away there is also the riding ground of Villa dei Boschi and only 20 km far a well-kept golf course. Within a 20-km radius there are also Pienza, Montepulciano and the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
