Castelnuovo Tancredi
The existence of the castle is attested since 1214. It was a property, together with vast agricultural possessions, of several sienese patrician families. The structure is made up of an imposing large tower with scarp base in stone. The top is surrounded by stone-arches which support the attic with windows. In the XVI century, to the tower has been linked the present villa, which you meet coming from a shady boulevard of cypresses. On the left side of the villa there is the small church of Saint Bartolomeo.
