The ex-parish of the saints Giusto and Donato is in Monteroni d’Arbia. The ancient church, which today has been replaced with a building of the 70’s of the XX century, shows its ancient origin in the Romanesque sloping-front; turned into a meeting room, on the inside there are no traces of the previous destination in the new church have been brought a “Madonna with Christ Child”, object of great devotion of the believers, put into an elegant neo-gothic frame with a temple-shape, created by Dioniso Burbarini, a sienese painter who was active between the end of the XVII century and the beginning of the XVIII century; the Martyrdom of Saint Catherine from Alessandria, a work contemporary with the previous one and a “Crucifix” of high artistic quality, linked to the elegant sienese plastic tradition of the XV century.
