Oratorio di BarottoliThe oratory of Barottoli is a sacred building, which is on the location of the same name in Monteroni Arbia.
It was built to accommodate an image of the Madonna and Child dating from the fourteenth century highly revered by the people of the place. The painting was on the wall of a house in ruins, in 1615 we began the construction of an oratory, and the image, detached from the wall, was placed in 1617 on the high altar of the new building, which was completed in 1620. As a privately owned, now has a fairly decent interior, a single plant, with four spans, terminating in vaults. In the two side altars, took a white stucco, are a copy of the painting by Rutilio Manetti depicting the Temptation of St. Anthony Abbot, and a painting depicting Tobiolo eighteenth and the Angel.
