The church of Saint John the Baptist in Modanella is a sacred building that is located in a Modanella Rapolano Terme.
Already Patronage Piccolomini, Pius II, moved by the old Saint Lucia in Castelvecchio. The classical facade and the bell tower in brick and travertine date back to the beginning of restoration executed. The interior has kept the seventeenth century furniture. On the right is a painting with the Supper at Emmaus report by Raphael Vanni, the altar left upheld a beautiful painting by Florentine school half of the sixteenth century, stolen; on the high altar is a wooden crucifix applied to a canvas with the Virgin, St. John and Magdalen dated 1657, much revered, which is dedicated to the Feast of Forgiveness with the procession on the first Friday of March.
