La Porta arrivando dalle Cave

The Port of St. Andrew is so named because it went out to go to the church of Sant'Andrea Extra Moenia ( "outside the walls"). In Corsican time was called the Village Gate or Door Sclavi, by the name of a family of potters who were there beside the house and shop.

It consists of a round arch in draft travertine worked well, resting on two simple spallette. The only decoration consists of a row of bricks placed at the top between two rows of stone. Intact and practicable is still walk. The internal opening is topped by a low arch, attacks which protrude two holes and rounded stones, which were used for the protection of the basic points. Are there holes on the sides to enter spranghe. The door is original and almost intact.

In front of the Port of St. Andrew, at the end of a short but steep descent, is still standing the antiporto of Sant'Andrea, consisting of three different bodies of age. The powerful shoulder travertine along the wall, visible inside, is very old. Instead, the brick arch is later and was rebuilt in the second half of the fourteenth century or the beginning of the fifteenth century. Above the arch, inside, visible space walk. The upper part is much more embattled recently, perhaps the end of the sixteenth century. The antiporto is connected to the port of St. Andrew by two walls: one is the second antimuro south-east, the other is a connection with "the" west side (is the antimuro with an embankment built as a defense external wall castellano). From Port Sclavi, back to the old town immediately on the left is by Val di Piazza.
