The church of Santa Maria is Pava.
It was one of nineteen churches in the Middle Ages disputes between the diocese of Siena and Arezzo. Probably there was transferred the title of the parish church of St. Peter, built in the fourth and fifth centuries the Roman vicus of Pava.
The facade which can be reached by a small staircase against the old rectory is very simple, drafts of travertine and brick; portal archivoltato, devoid of ornamentation plastic, is enriched by a fragmented lunette a fresh, perhaps the first of the fourteenth century, which depicts the " Madonna and Child and two saints. "
The side wall is in draft travertine. Recovered after decades of neglect, is now privately owned.
