Vista dall'alto

The church of the Saints Flora and Lucilla is in Montisi. It rose as a parish under the patronage of the community. The inside, which presents a rich plastic decoration in stucco with two altars along the nave and two on the lateral wings, dates back to the works of 1732, made by the bishop Settimio Cinughi. The first altar on the right, dedicated to Sant’Antonio from Padova shows a wooden sculpture of “Saint Giuseppe with Christ Child”, of the XVIII century; the altar on the left shows a canvas with the “Circumcision”of the late XVII century; the altars in the lateral chapels are dedicated to the Virgin of the Carmine and to the Congregation of the Rosary.
