Madonna della Neve
The church of Our Lady of the Snows (or church of the Virgin of Torricella) is Montisi.
The church was built on land owned by the Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala for the will of the Community and was consecrated by the Bishop of Pienza in 1649.
It was built around a much revered sacred image, a "Madonna and Child blessing" of the fourteenth century fresco, painted very, today sull'altar more enclosed within a painting on canvas of the first seventeenth century.
The facade is built of brick with columns and triangular tympanum with the emblem of Sienese and Spedale, under the frame, the Community of Montisi.
