In this area there are two farms along the Via Lauretana Antica which leads from Asciano to Siena. Being on a rise in the middle between “La Pievina” and Vescona, we don’t understand the origin of its name. In fact, being a barren land and on a higher level as regards the surrounding lands, it is not possible here to find veins of water. The place, which doesn’t seem to have important historical origins, is very interesting for the landscapes, because of the variety of foreshortenings over the Crete.
