RAPOLANO TERME

 LISTEN THE AUDIO GUIDE

The church of San Giovanni Evangelista is a sacred building in Armaiolo, in Rapolano Terme. The church is mentioned since the XIV century but the present structure in neo-Romanesque travertine shapes dates back to the end of the XIX century(1898-1899). The inside is frescoed in on the occasion of the Holy Year of 1975 by the priest Eldo Pensatori. In the transept on the left is kept an eighteenth-century painting with the “Last Supper”, which comes from the small church of the Corpus Domini outside the walls. The church of San Giovanni Evangelista is a sacred building in Armaiolo, in Rapolano Terme.
