 LISTEN THE AUDIO GUIDE

This imposing medieval fortified complex was mentioned in a document dating back to 1055: a fortification surrounded by walls, still partially visible in the three massive towers.

Located on the right bank of the Sorra stream, in the recent past it was owned by the Sienese Massari family, who converted the fortress into a stately country villa.

The castle is centered around a central courtyard, accessed through a single brick arched doorway surmounted by machicolations.
