The growing interest that has been created over time, regarding the Asciano ceramics, has led some people to report the existence of bas-reliefs and statuettes still existing in our territory, despite the numerous disappearances of religious effigies in the street tabernacles and on the facades of the historic center.
Today we bring you news of a glazed bas-relief existing inside a house in via Bartolenga.
Once again, it is the effigy of the Madonna di Provenzano, placed at the entrance of the houses to protect those who lived there, starting from the second half of the 16th century.
