Asciano Suono Festival, from July 7th to 13th

ASCIANO - A Sound Journey in the Heart of Tuscany

The appointment with great music and culture is back in 2025: Asciano Suono Festival is preparing to thrill the public with 7 days of special events, from July 7th to 13th in the heart of the Crete Senesi, and an unmissable final event on July 26th in the spectacular setting of the Anfiteatro delle Crete.

“The Sound of Peace” is the theme chosen for this edition, a powerful and urgent message, told by the artistic director Cesare Picco:

"Peace has a precise sound, when we recognize it and live it we understand its importance and urgency. Without this precise vibration, Humanity is lost.
This sound is the only one that can harmonize our present and the future of future generations.”

A festival that intertwines music, reflection and territory, with concerts, meetings, performances and moments of shared listening in the most evocative places of Asciano and its surroundings.

Many artists will bring their sounds and their art to dialogue with the extraordinary nature of the Crete Senesi, giving the public a precious moment of listening and exchange.
The Festival will start on Monday 7 July in Arbia (Asciano) with the pianist Andrea Missiroli for a whole week of unmissable concerts at different times of the day.
Among the special productions of the Festival, Daria Bignardi (12 July) guides you to the discovery of the sounds hidden between the pages of her latest novel "Ogni carcere è un’isola”, accompanied by the string quartet of the prestigious Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana; Davide Varrucciu "The birdsman” - raptor trainer and popularizer of this ancient art - takes his falcons to fly among the Crete Senesi at sunset (11 July); the Greek music group Evì Evàn Rebetiko (July 8) transforms the center of Asciano into an ancient Greek tavern; Middle Eastern beats and breaths with the band Fusaifusa and sounds and wonders for children with LA PRINCI and her show Fiabolle (July 10); an immersion in the Mediterranean scents and rhythms with the Apulian vocal quartet Faraualla (July 11); the sparkling baroque harpsichord of Francesco Cera (July 9) in the enchantment of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto and, after the exciting dawn concert of the cellist Antonio Cortesi, the great party in the evening with the Irish music and dances of Willo's (July 12).
Asciano Suono Festival is a production of the Association Asciano Suoni Arti e Culture E.T.S. in collaboration with
Italian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Municipality of Asciano,
with the patronage and contribution of the Tuscany Region.
