The author
Emanuele Giannetti (Lucignano d'Asso, Siena 1958) is formed at the Art Institute of Siena and then at the Academy of Carrara in touch with some of the protagonists of the means, by Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari, and the likes of Luciano Fabro . Gets the very beginning of his career important positions in Italy and abroad: in 1980, plans installation of marble and trees in Germany, in the Black Forest Lahr Schwarzwald, in 1982 he made several street furniture in Lucca. Engaged in research that tends to the different aspects of monumental sculpture and the interpenetration of different materials (travertine, iron, bronze), has created numerous works in various locations, and private and public collections, including those at the Modern Art Gallery in Ljubljana Mestna (Slovenia), the Finter Bank Zurich (Switzerland) and the contemporary art gallery in the province of Fulda (Germany). Among its permanent installations - in addition to those of Seoul and Monaco of Bavaria - are included the boat made from a single block of Carrara marble of 7 meters Metaltex in the park in the town of Cernobbio (Como). In 2004 he participated in the Green Forms in San Quirico d'Orcia. He has made trophies and medals, such as the celebration of Bologna European City of Culture 2000. He is currently a lecturer for the School of marble sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. The work realized in Rapolano as a monument to the Resistance traces the artist's career and his vocation for a sculpture that returns the symbolic dialogue between the inside and the outside, where space becomes light and nature materials , travertine and bronze, intersect in a quiet game of shapes and reflections that lead to land and water, the primordial elements.Sculrura modern placed on a small green space on the main road north, just beyond the gardens of Plans on the right
