This building, originally the biggest tower in the town walls, was for at least three centuries (from the 1300s through the 1500s) the seat of power in Asciano, as demonstrated by the many aristocratic coats of arms embedded in the façade. Located at the corner of the Piazza del Grano (the Grain Square), it was well situated to keep a close eye on the local merchants. After having been made over as a theater for the town, it is now in a state of abandon.
