It was consecrated in 1646, but of the primitive construction there are only the architectural façade with paired columns in fake porphyry of the high altar.
The current configuration dates back to the years before 1830.
Among the works of art:
- the venerated image of the Madonna del Latte, attributed to the fourteenth-century painter Paolo di Giovanni Fei;
- two oil rounds on wood, the proclaimed Virgin and the announcing Angel; the beautiful seventeenth-century canvas of the Assunta;
- a small wooden crucifix; and the Madonna holding the Child to Santa Francesca Romana, attributed to the seventeenth-century artist Deifebo Burbarini.
