Montemori

ASCIANO


Montemori di Asciano is located on a promontory on the southern side of the Ombrone Valley.
It is an ancient castle that includes a church: Santa Maria a Montemori, of which documentary traces can be found in a bull of Pope Alexander III Bandinelli, directed to the parish on which it depended.

Later transformed into a fortified farm, it is owned by the heirs of the cadet branch of the Bargagli Marquises.

The castle can only be reached with the authorization of the property.
