This Mill, together with that of the Tower above, is located relatively far from the watercourse in order to exploit the most significant level jump of the upper course of the Bestina; the Bagnoli waterfall.

This allowed the construction in cascade of two efficient mills that used a single feed stream with the advantage of a limited consumption of water, for its double use, before returning to pour back into the river.

The temporal origin of this second mill is unknown, having news of its existence only from the attestation in the "Catasto Leopoldino", which indicates the Marchesa Caterina Petrucci as owner until 1835.

Today the structure has been transformed into a private home and cannot be investigated in detail.
