The church of san Lorenzo is a sacred building in Bibbiano, near Buonconvento of ancient origin, at the end of the XVIII century. The structure was in a precarious state of preservation, so that it was decided to built a new church in a near more level ground, which was inaugurated on the 25th December 1822. The works of art which were here(the refined canvas by Brescianino, which represented the Holy Family with Saint Girolamo; the assumption of the Virgin with a saint Bishop and S.Antonio Abate. By a disciple of Francesco Vanni, signed and dated 1598; the ciborium commissioned for the seventeenth-century remaking of the church to Ventura Salimbeni) have been transferred, for security reasons, in the Museum.
