This road, which is crossed every year by thousands of tourists, branches off from the Cassia just in front of the circle of walls of Buonconvento. Starting from the Val d’Arbia it climbs up on the Crete until one of the highest places of the area: Chiusure, which is not very distant from the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. This provincial road, completely asphalted, creates numerous chances to enjoy the splendid landscapes of the Crete. Unfortunately, there are no halting lay-bys to admire the landscape and the tortuous path makes difficult do frequent halting.
