The Ethnographic Museum of sharecropping Senese, located in the historic centre of Buonconvento, occupies the premises late seventeenth century old barn of a house built behind the old walls of the country in which they maintain is unchanged spaces that the constructive elements. Opened in 2002, the museum aims to document and to come back a world now gone through vintage photographs, original objects, steps literary, music, songs, movies and archival documents, all presented and managed by special multimedia. The path is a journey that recalls environments and evidence of a complex social and economic system in which they have lived most of the Tuscan families until the middle of the twentieth century. The figures speakers master, the factor of mezzadro and massaia introduce, each giving their views, the world of sharecropping, with narrative rhythms and different dialect terms for the distance also highlight the different linguistic social roles. The second floor is occupied by striking farmhouse, truly accessible, which recreates the atmosphere of humble peasant housing and its domestic traditions. One of the most impartanti Museum are teaching laboratories, that after discussions with the operators and meetings with the elderly allow children of primary and secondary schools to retrace, playing one of the fundamental experiences of local culture and national history.
