Asciano - Breve storia della Ferrovia Centrale Toscana
Forse a molti questo nome non dice niente, ma riguarda la ferrovia che, da metà dell'Ottocento, attraversa l'intero territorio della provincia di Siena e in passato arrivava fino ad Orte.
Molti di noi ultra settantenni hanno usato i treni a vapore, per andare a scuola o raggiungere il posto di lavoro e che, fino agli anni '60 del secolo scorso, servivano giornalmente il tratto Empoli-Siena-Chiusi e viceversa.
Ci è sembrato simpatico e interessante andar a riscoprire la storia di questa struttura di comunicazione, ancora molto importante per alcuni comuni delle Crete e della Valdichiana.
