The Virgin is part of a pair of sculptures depicting the Annunciation and dates back to the second decade of the fifteenth century. The work comes from the Franciscan church of San Lorenzo, located on a hill just outside the center of Asciano starico. It is an example among the highest in the work of an artist who knew how to interpret the new artistic trends of Florence, in the Renaissance sense. Polychrome wooden statue of natural size, 160 cm high.
