Mucigliani
MUCIGLIANI, between the Valley and that of Siena. -- Castle
Destroyed, replaced by a few houses of peasants with parish church (St. Andrew) near Vescona.
He resides on top of a hill marnosa among the highest in the area and from which one can admire an splendo landscape with the city of Siena in the background.
On both sides of the hill Mucigliani down the brooks which give rise to the creek and food Biena the tax.
It was a castle in the past between the many accounts of the possaduti Berardenga active since 1023.
Following Mucigliani the thirteenth century was owned by a Ranuccio of Griffolo for which the City of Siena in 1251 confirmed the domain Mucigliani.
In more modern place with farm outbuildings was purchased by the family of patrician senese Saracini, who gathered their neighbouring holding Vescona.
