In the village of Monteroni of Arbia has kept a beautiful fortified mill dating to the first half of the fourteenth century. The imposing building is one of the properties of nearby grancia of Cuna, as some documents of the sixteenth century, including one in 1590, which sets forth its estimated share of rent, amounting to 8 lira. From this and from another document previous (1552) know that the mill worked two palmenti, despite having four, probably due to decreased flow of water that fed the gora. The charming hydraulic system with its arch conducted with round-topped allowed water to get inside the mill for the production of hydropower, restituendola outside unchanged in its chemical and physical characteristics. Recent studies have shown that the period of greatest activity, the mill could produce up to half a tonne of flour per day.
