The Church of Sant’Agostino is a sacred building on street Matteotti.it was risen in the XIII century with the annexed cloister of the Agostinian friars; then, it became a private property after the Napoleonic suppressions; it was enlarged in the second half of the XV century and provided with a bricked-front; even if it still keeps the original structure with only one nave, it shows the aspect that it took between the end of the XVI century and the beginning of the XVII century, according to the ordinances of the Council of Trent. From here it comes the small Crucifix in polychrome wood, which a recent restoration has guaranteed as a work by Giovanni Pisano, and the “Madonna in throne with Christ Child”, venerated as the Madonna of the Graces; the predella with the Histories of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria and four Saints, which is the only rest of a polyp tic by Matteo di Giovanni, today collocated in the Museum of Sacred Art.
